Omnipresent God
"The sinner's problem with hell is not the absence of God, but the presence of God." - R.C Sproul
At first, I was taught that Hell is separation from God Himself, due to my ignorance of the Scriptures, I have carried this teaching for my whole life. Later I found out it wasn't biblical at all. How can an Omnipresent Being not be in a certain place? And this verse from the book of Revelation affirmed it,
Revelation 14:10
"he [worshippers of the beast] also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb."
The presence of God will not be for enjoyment but for vindication. They will wake up in hell and will be devastated. There will be weeping, the very people who rejected the gospel -- "Oh God, have mercy upon me." There will be gnashing, a biblical metaphor for human fury -- "How dare you, God, put me here."
He's not coming to play games. He's coming as a Lion to slaughter His enemies. If you don't come in terms of peace of with this coming King, you'll be subjected to damnation for eternity.
